Indian Sugar Exim Corporation
Limited (ISEC), a premier sugar exporter of India, was formed in 1969
by the two apex bodies of the sugar industry viz. National Federation
of Cooperative Sugar Factories Limited (NFCSF), and Indian Sugar Mills
Association (ISMA), representing the factories in private and public
sectors, for undertaking export of sugar and its products, thus enjoying
a representative character for Indian sugar industry as a whole.
Having taken over the business and staff of the Export Agency Division
of Indian Sugar Mills Association which had been exporting sugar
since 1957. It has the expertise developed over 45 years. ISEC is
also the only Indian exporter with membership of The Refined Sugar
Association, and The Sugar Association of London.
Formerly known as "Indian Sugar & General Industry
Export Import Corporation Limited", the name has since
been changed to "Indian Sugar Exim Corporation Limited."
